Diagnostic tests

MAPA (ambulatory blood pressure measurement)

MAPA with prescription in hand $95

This test involves wearing a device that continuously records your blood pressure for 24 hours. The aim is to detect periods of hypertension (excessively high blood pressure) or hypotension (excessively low blood pressure). By eliminating the “white coat effect” – a temporary rise in blood pressure caused by the stress of a doctor’s office consultation – it enables more reliable measurements to be obtained.

Ambulatory blood pressure measurement (ABPM) is used to make a precise diagnosis, assess the effectiveness of antihypertensive treatment or check for hypotension.

Blood pressure cycle

60 + consultation fee if necessary

A blood pressure cycle is used to evaluate variations in blood pressure over a given period. It is often recommended for symptoms such as dizziness, headaches, fatigue or palpitations. By recording several values over a 20-minute period, a more accurate picture of blood pressure is obtained, avoiding results distorted by stress or the environment.

Strep test

40 + consultation fee if necessary

To confirm a diagnosis of bacterial pharyngitis (streptococcus) and initiate antibiotic treatment, a streptococcus test is recommended. This test, performed directly in the clinic, can provide a result in just 15 to 20 minutes.
